Honorary Doctorate for Prof. Schober
Prof. Robert Schober received an Honorary Doctorate (Doctor honoris causa) for his contributions to wireless and molecular communications from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. The degree was awarded in a solemn ceremony on December 19, 2024. After Profs. Markos Papageorgiou and Athanasios Papoulis, Prof. Schober is the third faculty from the field of electrical and computer engineering to receive an Honorary Doctorate from Aristotle University. Founded in 1925, Aristotle University is the second oldest university in Greece. Named after the philosopher Aristotle, who was born in Stagira, about 55 kilometres east of Thessaloniki, it is the largest university in Greece with more than 90,000 students. Its campus covers 230,000 square metres in the centre of Thessaloniki, with additional educational and administrative facilities elsewhere.
